In addition, it deters the donor from attempting to alter the urine specimen. By simply adding an instant bluing tablet to the reservoir and bowl of a commode, the water instantly turns blue and is easily detectable in a urine specimen. If a urine specimen is presented to the collector with the bluing agent present the collector will reject the urine specimen for testing.

Bluing tablets work great for instant drug testing, laboratory drug testing, or any other means of urine specimen collection. Instant bluing tablets are an inexpensive way to combat cheating. Simply turn off the water supply to the commode, and add the tablets where necessary. They are highly concentrated and offer almost instant bluing when they contact the water. For even faster results, the collector can crumble the tablets. We recommend using gloves during this process.
