According to SAMHSA, Buprenorphine is an opioid partial agonist used
for opioid addiction treatment. This means that, although Buprenorphine is an opioid, and it can produce typical opioid agonist effects and side effects such as euphoria and respiratory depression, its maximal effects are less than those of full agonists like heroin and methadone.
This urine test card provides instant test results for the Buprenorphine drug. It is an immunoassay based drug test on the principle of competitive binding. Our Buprenorphine drug test contains a membrane strip coated with drug-protein conjugates. It is a single drug test card packaged in a sealed foil pouch with a quantity of 25 per box. The test kit is to remain within the sealed pouch until ready to perform the test. Do not freeze.
How the test works:
The test employs a unique mixture of antibodies to selectively identify the drug metabolite in a test sample with a high degree of sensitivity. While performing the test you will discover that it is easy to use and provides fast and accurate results. Urine drug tests have a greater detection period than that of saliva and single panel drug tests can be selected to detect the drug you choose.
Interpretation of Results:
A drug-positive urine specimen will not generate a colored line in the specific test line region of the strip because of drug competition, while a drug-negative urine specimen will generate a line in the test region because of the absence of drug competition. To serve as a procedural control, a colored line will always appear at the control line region, indicating that proper volume of specimen has been added and membrane wicking has occurred.
There’s a wide range of drug testing options available, yet this BUP test card is simple to perform, accurate, and moderately affordable.
