Drug Swab is a drug residue surface test for the identification of 5 drugs:
Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Opiates, Cocaine and Marijuana
- Easy, two-step process
- No specialized training
- 3-Minute Results
- Box of 10 tests
- Shelf life: 12 Months
Specified use of The test device
- For Forensic Use Only
- This device is not CLIA Waived
How To Use:
There are two different ways to use this device.
- Test for drug residue
Simply Remove The Blue Cap and Lightly Brush The Surface to
Collect the Drug Residue. Once The Collection Is Complete, Apply
15-20 drops From The Buffer Vial.
2. Test for Substances
Add The Substance To The Buffer Vial Shake for 15-30 Seconds.
Apply 15-20 Drops From The Buffer Vial To The Device.
The Drug Swab is a drug residue surface test that can be used to test surfaces, powder, residue and pills.
Drug Swab is a one-step lateral flow immunoassay device that is intended for forensic use only and is not for use in diagnostic procedures. It is designed to integrate the collection of sample and lateral flow immunoassay screen testing in one single device that is easy to use and read.
During testing, drug residue is collected by the collection pad, and migrates across the membrane when buffer is added. If no drug is present on the surface, the colored colloidal gold antibody conjugate will bind to the drug derivatives on the membrane to form visible bands at specific test regions.
- A bottle of Buffer is included with your test kits.
If any drug(s) is (are) present on the surface, it competes with the immobilized drug conjugate for limited antibody binding sites of the colored colloidal gold conjugate. When sufficient amount of drug is present, the drug will saturate the antibodies, and the colored colloidal gold conjugate cannot bind to the drug derivative on the membrane.
Therefore, the absence of a purple-red band at the test region indicates a presumptive positive result for that particular test.
