What is a drug test card?
Basically, test strips with chemical reagent pads located on the bottom of the strip are housed within a plastic card. The strips extend out the bottom where the device can be immersed (dipped) into a urine specimen for the purpose of detecting a single or multiple drugs of abuse. Multiple drugs can be found present in the urine specimen all at one time and up to 12 different drugs.
How to use a drug test card?
The card should be immersed into the specimen for a minimum of 15 seconds. Not all testing cards are flood proof so avoid the specimen from touching the plastic housing of the card which is positioned directly above the test strips. After this has been completed the cap should be replaced on the end of the device and laid down on a flat surface for testing.
At that time the testing process immediately begins to work and test result lines should start forming in 15-20 seconds. Negative results usually appear first and presumptive positive lines follow.
